To me, great stories aren’t always about the twists and turns of the plot.. Of course, every story MUST have a good plot although a plot by itself really doesn’t make or break a story. It isn’t always about connecting the dots.. Most often, it is the compelling characters in the story, with their flawed nature and inner conflicts, displaying a myriad of emotions, that enriches the plot and gives a reader a read worthy of remembrance.

There are great stories being lived out, even in the dullest of lives…extraordinary tales hidden behind everyday trivia, just waiting to be told – the story behind a missed bus, a broken cup, a burnt dinner and a silent tear… If a Writer is able to bring out the poignancy in moments so trivial and create something profound from insignificance, I consider him/her truly Gifted.
